About Me

I am a research senior associate in the College of Arts and Sciences at The Ohio State University.  With expertise in the environmental social sciences, I work directly with the Ohio Department of Natural Resources to conduct human dimensions research needed to inform fisheries management.

Focusing on aquatic social-ecological systems, my broader research program aims to support positive human-environment interactions. I use quantitative and qualitative methods to understand values, beliefs, and behaviors related to aquatic conservation and management.  One key applied goal is informing communication strategies for environmental outreach. Interdisciplinary collaboration and involving stakeholders and practitioners at multiple stages of the research process are key components of my work.
